The Killer Skirt & Puddle Where Frummie Drowned

Sign the guestbook Posted by Patty & Goldie Greenman (2/24/2005)- I feel responsible. It was me who encouraged you that you really NEEDED a one size, full length wrap around skirt. Mine is so useful, I can wear pajama pants under it without the rebbeim seeing. Not only that but it is the only skirt that fits both while dieting and not dieting!!! I thought you'd benefit from it just as much. You tried it on and then... sob, sob you disappeared beneath the waves. I saw a hand grasping for help and then nothing.

Sign the guestbookPosted by Bluma Berger (2/24/2005)- It's sooooo sad. We only discussed the night before it happened how you were going to quit wearing full length skirts because they were untzanua. You were just not strong enough yet to fight the peer pressure of Goldie. Hopefully this incident will cause her to see the error of her ways and make teshuva. (I didn't even KNOW that you wore pajama pants to class, how could you let our school down!?!?!?!). We had just decided that we were going to end our need for secular fashion by only wearing mid calf skirts. Then everyone can tell you are a different type of girl, and can get a good view of your neutral toned (not black-chas veshalom) bullet proof tights. We only reasoned that this particular skirt was ok because it is sooooo shapeless, its tent like qualities cancel out any chances of it being untzanua. B"H it wasn't denim.

Sign the guestbookPosted by Chanie Chanuksky (2/25/2005)- I didn't know you very well, but I did happen to once see you wearing a skirt where I could see the bottom point of the triangles of your knees. It was only a matter of time before you fell into really bad company, wearing clothing like that. This tragic tale teaches us all the terrible dangers of not adhering to chumras.

Sign the guestbookPosted by Rivka Wasserfeldman (2/27/2005)- Frummie Feldberg u are absolutely by far the most impossible person 2 get in touch with!!! i tried to call u before rosh hashana but apparently u gave me the wrong number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i got some israeli recording thing) anyway, give me a call.

Sign the guestbookPosted by Reb and Mrs. Feldberg (2/27/2005)- Through our grief we are aware that this tragedy could have been avoided. We intend to sue the skirt manufacturers for not putting a warning on the skirt about the dangers posed to girls who are under 5" and less than a size 4, so no girl has to suffer so tragically as our beloved daughter did.

Sign the guestbookPosted by Rabbi Shloimi Engelberger (2/27/2005)- A true tzara indeed. I am was very sorry to hear of Frummie's passing. However we can learn an important lesson from this tzara. Once again we see that life is really a very narrow bridge, and we can't stray to far to either side without falling off, we need to be moderate in all of our ways. Unfortunately Frummie was not acting in moderation, secular fashion proved too much of a pull and lured her off the derech. All too often this proves to be a stumbling block for young women. I only hope that other girls in her situation will take heed of this powerful lesson learned at too great a price.
